Science skills in action at Mitchell Middle School! 🔬🧪🥼
Our 7th grade Life Science students in Mr. Lentsch’s class had a blast working through the classic "Rainbow Lab" today, guided by student teacher Ms. Jarding! 🌈✨

Our young scientists took on the challenge of measuring liquids with precision using graduated cylinders and learning all about finding the meniscus. Hands-on learning like this builds critical thinking, accuracy, and a lifelong love for discovery. We love seeing our students' curiosity shine bright! 🖤💛

Mitchell Middle School is officially taking hands-on learning to the next level with Project Lead The Way (PLTW)! 🔬🧠

Our middle schoolers are stepping into the shoes of medical detectives in Medical Detectives, taught by the fantastic Mr. Lentsch! 🩺🥼 Students are diving deep into solving real-world health conditions, analyzing genetic traits, and uncovering the secrets of human biology. It’s an incredible, interactive way for our students to build critical thinking skills and explore future careers in STEM and healthcare. 🧬💡

We are so proud to bring these cutting-edge opportunities to our students as they discover, problem-solve, and grow every day! 🖤💛

Hands-on creativity in 7th grade English class today! Our students used Play-Doh to sculpt items that represent their unique personalities and passions.

From a purple dragon showing off a love for fantasy literature, to a red gaming controller highlighting a passion for all things video games, and an orange and brown dirt bike track capturing a drive for high-energy adventure, it was awesome seeing our students bring their personal stories to life!

🧩 Building Connections, One Lego at a Time! 💛🖤

Our 6th graders had an absolute blast at this August's mid-month assembly! To help our newest middle schoolers build strong relationships and lasting friendships, we put their creativity to the test with a fun Lego-building challenge.

🦆 Every student kicked off the morning with an entry-level challenge: building a Lego duck! It was incredible to see how many unique designs came from the exact same set of bricks.

✨ After warming up, students built personalized creations that represented who they are, sharing their unique stories, hobbies, and personalities with their peers. From shared laughs to discovering common interests, real friendships developed right before our eyes! We are so proud of how our 6th graders stepped out of their comfort zones to connect with one another.
