School zones are becoming active again, and a few seconds of distraction can have life-changing consequences. Drivers should reduce speed, put phones away, obey crossing guards, and watch carefully for children entering crosswalks or stepping between parked vehicles.
Parents can help by using designated drop-off areas, avoiding double parking, and reminding children to make eye contact with drivers before crossing.
Every safe arrival starts with an attentive driver. Slow down, stay off your phone, and give yourself extra time during school arrival and dismissal hours.
