Did you know that our Archives and Special Collections regularly organizes and describes new collections to make them findable through a method called processing? 🔍

Archives and Special Collections received the Bente Winston Collection of Sussex School Records recently, and they are now processed and available for you to use for research. 🍎

The Sussex School in Missoula, Montana, was established in 1971 by Bente Winston, and this collection of school records contains administration files, student works, photographs, and school publications.

Stop in during the Archives’ open hours to see the collection, or take a look at the finding aid at archiveswest.orbiscascade.org. ✨

The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Library at the University of Montana and Payne Family Library at Missoula College will be closed on Sunday, May 24th and Monday, May 25th in recognition of Memorial Day.

At the end of June, we'll be saying goodbye to a beloved staff member. Chris Vance has been working at the Mansfield Library for more than 35 years. Best wishes for your new chapter!

15 study carrels on Level 1 and one accessible study carrel on Level 2 are now available for semester-long checkouts by grad students. Assignments will be made at random by lottery and students will be notified prior to the first day of classes.

All study carrels include a chair, desk, overhead light, and a power outlet-- perfect for stashing your (checked out) books and locking in to work on your thesis. 💡📚😎
