Laptops for Students

06/24/2017

Hey guys, its been a great summer, contacting different organizations and basically learning the ropes. It would be greatly appreciated if you could spread the word out to your fellow family members or colleagues about us. And if they have any broken or used laptops, encourage them to send them our way at LSH foundation, 300 Edith St. | Missoula, MT 59801.

Opening these laptops up, quite an avid experience since I have not much experience in laptop refurbishing. If you guys wanna donate more laptops, please send them my way through the LSH foundation. 😀

Hi guys, I am Christian and will be taking over Keegan's project. I hope to expand it and make it bigger to reach more individuals than ever. I am excited to work with you and hope for a splendid time to refurbish laptops for teens. I am now taking donations at 300 Edith St, Missoula, MT 59801. We can do it guys!

Hi all, Keegan here. I just wanted to say thank you so much for supporting me with this project throughout the years. Unfortunately, I have had an extremely difficult time trying to find people to take over this project. And as it is getting progressively more and more difficult for me to maintain the project myself and keep my domain names. Therefore, it pains me to announce that I must close the Relaptops project here in the next few weeks if I cannot find someone to take it off my hands. If you know anyone, please let me know...otherwise, thank you all so much for your support!

Hi everyone! Check out my new NBC Montana feature with Heidi Meili. http://www.nbcmontana.com/news/missoula-man-restores-unwanted-laptops-for-students/37529162

ALSO: IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HELPING ME OPERATE THIS PROJECT, please shoot me an email and let me know! I am looking for students interested in working on this project with me in Missoula!

More of modern-day education is moving online, which can frustrate students who can't afford their own computer, but one Missoula resident is making a high-tech difference.

Hey guys! The relaptops page is currently down. Not sure for how long but it'll be up and running soon. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hey guys! So I did a little segment about Laptops for Students on 94.9 KYSS FM that will be airing at 8:15 this fine Friday morning. I'd love it if you tuned in and listened. Thank you, Charene, for having me on!

Hi everyone! Sorry for the radio silence these last few weeks, things have been very busy for me, but some progress has happened concerning Laptops for Students that I thought I might update everyone on. First off, I meet with Justin Bancale who is helping with the project with the public schools and the public schools are ready to go as soon as I can meet with them and discuss things. That meeting will happen ASAP but I am unsure when. Also, the biggest things, Laptops for Students will be featured on KYSS FM Friday morning. Thanks to Charene Herrera for making that happen. I don't know the time quite yet. I will give more details about this as soon as I know the time. Thank you for your patience!-Whitney Hansberry

Greetings, everyone! Keegan already introduced me but I wanted to post to introduce myself as well. I'm Whitney Hansberry. I'm a sophomore at Loyola and will be taking over this project with the help of Justin Bancale. I'm extremely excited to be leading this project and working with all the amazing people who have helped make this project what it is. We have already had donations from the Loyola Foundation Office and from MCPS and I intend on getting those to our incredible tech-ys. Caleb Anderson and John Ellinghouse as well as meeting with Justin Bancale tomorrow. Once again, I am so excited to be leading this project and I would like to thank Keegan for giving me this opportunity. I will be posting updates as frequently as I can. Thank you guys for your patience and support, it means so much!

To all of my supporters. I kinda left ya hanging on the series thing. I promise I will continue to support the members of the wonderful spirit of community award once things calm down here at home. Currently, Laptops for Students is in the middle of a change of leadership, along with the addition of several new school districts who wish to help with the project. Due to all of this information, I will be unable to accept laptop applications for the duration of the summer. Please encourage your friends and family to sign up for one of these amazing machines, just know that we will not respond to these applications until the start of the 2015 school year. Thank you once again for all of your amazing support, the amount of encouragement and community involvement I have received towards this project has been such a blessing and truly a mirror image of who the people of Missoula really are. I will do my best to keep you all updated with the latest!

Alrighty everyone. Here's the start of a new series. Since it's Monday, and I will forget if I don't start now. ;) After returning from D.C. One of the wonderful geniuses that are now my friends thought it would be great for each of us to feature the other projects from Washington D.C. if possible. Through some social media collaboration, we managed to pull it off. SO...here's the first in a series of two projects I will present each week, of what students from around the country are working on RIGHT NOW. Please feel free to support all of them if you can. They have all worked SO HARD to achieve what they have done so far. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Teens-for-Jeans-Cumberland/665394650226340?hc_location=ufi
