In the championship game, it was the Wildcats from Washington Middle School taking on the Broncs from Frenchtown Schools. Frenchtown has been — and as of the final whistle last night, remains — a true middle school boys’ basketball dynasty, securing their third straight Copper League title.

Behind the strong play of Tristan P., the Broncs controlled the game from start to finish. Final Score: Frenchtown 63, Washington 51.

Championship Wednesday did not disappoint.
Even though both games ended as blowouts, fans still got to see some great basketball. Meadow Hill had the honor of hosting this year’s games, and our school had a lot of fun putting on the event.

The evening tipped off with the consolation matchup featuring the 3-seed Hellgate Hawks and your 5-seed Meadow Hill Mustangs. Meadow Hill may have saved their best performance for last, controlling the game from start to finish. Final Score: Meadow Hill 43, Hellgate 24. The Mustangs earned 3rd place, and Grahm J. led all scorers with 14 points.

A tough one tonight. The #1 seed Frenchtown squad came out strong in the semis and never looked back against our Meadow Hill Mustangs. From start to finish, it was all Frenchtown—they’re a well-oiled machine and deserved the win.

Tomorrow, Frenchtown takes on Washington in the Copper League Championship… but that’s not the end of the story for our Mustangs.

Because at 4pm, right here at Meadow Hill, our boys get one more shot. Meadow Hill vs. Hellgate in the consolation game—and this one means something. It’s the last time our 8th graders will ever put on a Mustang jersey. The last ride. The last stand. The last chance to leave it all out there.
