We’re hiring!

Sussex School is looking for a Long-Term Substitute Teacher to join our K–8 teaching team from January through June.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, creative, collaborative, and excited about working with young people in a progressive, student-centered school environment.

At Sussex, learning happens in classrooms, on field trips, outdoors, through projects, and in the relationships we build with students and one another. This is an opportunity to become a real part of our teaching team and our community for the second half of the school year.

🏕️ A look back at Camp Paxson! 🌲

Last week, our learners headed to Camp Paxson for two days of adventure, play, creativity, and community—and they made the most of every minute!

They swam, kayaked, laughed, explored, made art from things they found in the woods, played games, and learned what it means to build community together.

This is the magic of the Sussex Outdoor Program: learning doesn’t always happen inside a classroom. Sometimes it looks like jumping in a lake, getting a little dirty, trying something new, creating something unexpected, or laughing so hard you can’t catch your breath.

Two days, lots of adventures, and plenty of memories made. 💚🌲🛶

We'll be out at Silver Park from 5:00 PM until the "fireworks" drone show with a booth full of family fun. Stop by to say hello, challenge your friends to a game of pickleball, enjoy hands-on activities, and learn more about the Sussex School community.
