Brake violations are observed daily at our facility, and most are not surprising. Today, however, a particularly egregious violation was discovered on this trailer's disk brake rotor.

Top 10 Thursday (Delayed one week for Labor Day). Proof of periodic inspection was again number one. In second place Driver cannot satisfy the English language proficiency requirements of 391.11(b)(2) as per FMCSA Enforcement Guidance Memo
MC-SEE-2025-0001. Driver failed the Interview.
Nearly one third of drivers inspected had clean inspections, including 198 trucks who now have a CVSA decal on their windshield. A huge thank you to all the drivers who keep up on their logs and make sure their trucks are in great working order. You are doing your part in helping the Wyoming Highway Patrol keep our highways safe.

Fortunately no one was injured as this driver took a scenic drive between El Dorado and Placer Counties and through the Confluence....The driver may or may not have crossed over into opposing traffic repeatedly

We honestly wish we were making this up 😭

One of our commercial enforcement officers was able to catch up to him and seize the opportunity to take appropriate enforcement action 😉 and to educate the driver 📋

Please Please Please!! If you are a driver and have an overlength vehicle, please do not attempt this! There are alternate routes regardless of what your GPS or phone map tells you...We promise 🤞🏽

📢 FMCSA Temporary Waiver Granted

FMCSA has granted a temporary waiver allowing interstate CDL and CLP holders - and motor carriers - to continue using paper copies of medical examiner’s certificates as valid proof of medical certification for up to 15 days after the certificate is issued.

The waiver is in effect through October 12, 2025.

This action supports a smooth transition from the paper-based process to the electronic transmission of driver medical certification information under the National Registry II rule.
