ANNOUNCING our new Youth Orchestra Conductor! Based in Missoula where she maintains a growing private studio, Kyara Nelsen is excited to be joining the Great Falls Symphony Association to conduct the Youth Orchestra.

August 7-12, 2022

Whitefish, Montana

Camp is open to violin, viola, cello, and bass students entering 7th-12 grades

Established in 2008 by Artistic Director, Jenanne Solberg, Camp Festival Amadeus (CFA) is a chamber orchestra music camp for intermediate to advanced string students.

Camp is held simultaneously and in conjunction with Festival Amadeus and is a one-of-a-kind camp opportunity in , full of fun and music.

Each day, campers participate in orchestra sessions, small ensembles, sectionals, and elective classes.

Camp faculty is comprised of musicians from . Campers attend workshops and interactive presentations with the Festival’s guest musicians and attend Festival concerts each evening. There are also opportunities for additional private lessons.

Fun camp activities include a student honor’s recital, a picnic outing, and a free student concert. Camp is held in the beautiful resort town of near ⛰🌲🪵

All students are invited to attend our dress rehearsal TOMORROW, Friday, March 4th🥰 Join us at 7 pm in the Dennison Theatre to see Music Director Julia Tai and the Missoula Symphony live in action for their final dress rehearsal before the concert!🎻 This is a wonderful and educational opportunity to hear some of the concert, learn more about the symphony, and to meet Julia!

Congrats to MYS alumni David Harmsworth!!!

A UM School of Music senior will spend the summer playing his cello alongside some of the world's top musicians in classical music at the highly prestigious Aspen Music Festival and School.
