Garden Grove Drop-in Child Care

To our beloved and valued families,

It is with great sadness and apologies that we announce the closure of Garden Grove Drop-in Child Care. The last day that we will be open for childcare is December 19th, 2025. We wanted to give you and your families as much time as possible to find alternative childcare. This decision was not made lightly or without immense consideration. Unfortunately, the ever-decreasing use and need for our model of childcare has left us with no other decision to make. There are many factors that have led us to this heartbreaking choice, but are in large part due to the changes that have come post-covid. Many are still working from home, government programs have given more assistance for childcare(as a drop-in we cannot take state assistance), government assisted after school programs, early literacy programs for 4 year old through the MSCP system, the cost of living is leaving families little to be able to drop kiddos off to us just because they “want to”, etc. While we are thrilled that a lot of these changes have made childcare easier and more accessible for families, it has very much negatively impacted our business. Please believe that we stayed open for as long, admittedly longer, than we absolutely could in hopes that we could keep providing care for the amazing families that have stuck with us through it all.
We want to extend our sincerest gratitude to all the wonderful families that have made these last eight years running Garden Grove possible. We cannot express how grateful we are that you have afforded us the trust and opportunity to care for your amazing kiddos. It has been so rewarding to get to see so many spectacular children grow in our care. For many families, we have had the privilege to watch your families grow and be able to take care of each child as they joined your family, and that is something we are so incredibly honored to have been a small part of. We have fostered relationships not only with children but have forged bonds with so many parents and guardians, and those relationships are ones we will continue to cherish. We wish nothing but the best for you and your kiddos in the future. It has truly been a privilege.

We would greatly appreciate your support and would love to be able to see all of our amazing kiddos right up till the end.

UPCOMING RATE CHANGES

Due mainly to a large increase in the rent for our leased space, as well as increases of all operational costs, we are forced to raise our rates. Please know that we absolutely HATE to do so, and have only done this once before in our six years of operation. We know that childcare is a huge expense for families, and we have and will continue to do our best to keep rates as low as possible. We cannot thank you all enough for your understanding and continued support.

******EFFECTIVE MARCH 25TH******

MEAL CHARGES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

Breakfast $3.00
Lunch/Dinner $4.00

HOURY RATES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

Infants 6mo-18mo: $7.25 per hour
Children 18mo-12yrs: $6.25 per hour

WE WILL BE CLOSED TOMORROW, JAN 12TH DUE TO A FAMILY EMERGENCY.

There are lots of pros to running a family business, but one con is that when there are family emergencies, we are all involved and need to be in the same place. We apologize immensely for not being able to be there to care for our kiddos, but we are needed elsewhere. Just know that the decision to have closures is always a last resort. We appreciate everyone's understanding and kindness in this matter.
