Such a thrill to have the incomparable Kevin Young in our community. The University of Montana Press is proud to announce that the first print pulled from our Hacker Test Press, gifted to us by Peter Koch, is "Russet," a poem from Kevin Young's "Stones." If you are interested in supporting the fledgling UM Book Arts Program, we have a limited edition print available, numbered 1-25, signed by Kevin Young, who was on hand to pull a couple of prints with David Axelrod, our printer and designer for this broadside. We will give prints to the first 25 people who send us checks for a minimum of $100, with the lowest numbers given to those who send the most. For a minimum of $50, we are going to do a second, unsigned printing for the next 25 people. Your funds will go to supplies and course materials for the first course in Book Arts that we'll offer in Fall 2023.
