UM SigEp

Today we want to recognize our Spring 2020 Graduating Senior, Nicolas R. Ream. Nicolas joined Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp) - Montana Alpha in Fall 2016. Nicolas has served as Community Service and Philanthropy Chair, Junior Marshal, Senior Marshal, Interfraternity Council Chapter Delegate, Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Recruitment, and currently President, plus has served on numerous committees. Nicolas has served on the Interfraternity Council as Social-Programming Chair. Nicolas served as an Associated Students of the University of Montana Senator, and as a member of the UM Advocates. Nicolas has served in many student group officer positions with organizations such as the American Marketing Association, College Republicans, and Mortar Board - to name a few. Nicolas is a member of Order of Omega. Nicolas is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Marketing and Pre-Law, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Management & Entrepreneurship, a Certificate in Digital Marketing, a Certificate in Entertainment Management, a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation, a Certificate in Global Leadership from the Franke Global Leadership Initiative, and University Scholar distinction from the Davidson Honors College. Nicolas is on-track to graduate Summa Cum Laude. While at the University of Montana, Nicolas also earned an Associate of Arts - Summa Cum Laude and a LeadershipU certificate. Nicolas presented his capstone research, Green Home Montana: Eco-friendly Housing and Living Practices at the University of Montana Conference on Undergraduate Research (UMCUR). Nicolas was invited to present at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR). Nicolas will be attending the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business - Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management, located in Denver, Colorado, beginning in Fall 2020, to earn a Master of Science in Real Estate and the Built Environment. Nicolas has also accepted a position at Montana Heritage Home Builders, Inc. as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Congratulations Nicolas! Good Luck in Your Future Endeavors!

Congratulations to Matthew Hurley for winning the Balanced Man Scholarship and all of the other finalist. The chapter had a hard decision with so many candidates examplifying virtue, diligence, brotherly love, sound mind, and sound body.

Happy Founders Day! Sigma Phi Epsilon was established on November 1, 1901, by twelve young men at Richmond College (now the University of Richmond) with the hope of being DIFFERENT. 118 years later we are still going strong. Here’s to another 118 years!

For October, we are highlighting alumni Christopher Morucci. Christopher is an Actor, Singer, Dancer, Writer, and Teaching Artist living in New York City. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Montana and has a background working in Youth Development with International Students. Christopher has a very special place in his heart for Theatre for Young Audiences and is lucky enough to have directed, choreographed, performed in, and toured with various TYA productions and Educational Outreach programs throughout the country and internationally with Dreambox Beijing & Shenzhen, the Missoula Children’s Theatre, Childsplay, and Fort Peck Summer Theatre. He is the founder of the music collective Super Casual and his very specific musical stylings can be found online wherever music is sold.
