The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UM (MOLLI) offers an array of educational and social opportunities that promote the lifelong learning and personal growth of 50+ individuals through a diverse collection of noncredit short courses, special member events, lectures, and community activities. During the fall, winter, spring, and summer, MOLLI offers courses taught by distinguished UM faculty, emeritus faculty, as well as other professionals and scholars from the community. Program offerings cover a range of topics from the Humanities, Natural and Social Sciences, Fine Arts, as well as Current and Political Affairs. This is truly learning for the joy of learning – no exams, no grades - just fun!

What a fantastic day of learning and fun! 🇮🇪

MOLLI students enjoyed an engaging presentation from Alan Noonan on the rich history and cultural significance of hurling, one of Ireland’s oldest and most beloved sports.

But the learning didn’t stop in the classroom! After exploring the history of the game, Alan took students out to the Oval at the University of Montana, where they had the opportunity to try hurling for themselves. There were plenty of smiles, swings, and new appreciation for this exciting Irish tradition!

A big thank you to Alan for sharing his knowledge, passion, and love of Irish culture with our MOLLI community. What a memorable hands-on learning experience! 💚
