Congratulations to Maren Davies, recipient of the first-ever Jeannie Award and the winner of the Jeannette Rankin Contest! We thank Missoula Mayor Andrea Davis for joining us at the award ceremony at Jeannette Rankin Elementary to celebrate all the fifth graders who participated in the inaugural contest and to honor Jeannette Rankin's legacy. And thank you to the for the front-page coverage!

All 5th grade students at JRE took part in the inaugural Jeannette Rankin Foundation Contest. Student had the choice between writing an essay, creating art with an explanation, or producing an interpretation. Six overall winners were selected, and one student took home the grand prize. Congratulation Maren Davies!

We are PROUD of all students for their efforts and thoughtful response to Jeannette's impact.

‘Maybe I could too’: Jeannette Rankin students interpret her legacy with class project Fifth grade students at Jeannette Rankin Elementary are participating in the first ever Jeannette Rankin Day contest to honor the icon’s life and legacy.
