Shark Week is back at spectrUM! 🦈 Stop by this week to participate in our Shark Scavenger Hunt for the chance to get a prize 🎁

Summer is celebrating 40 years of impact! This free, hands-on STEM opportunity – offered in collaboration with (FB: or LI: -Franklin-Institute) – invites youth entering grades 2-6 to step into the role of real scientists. Since joining the program in 2017, SpectrUM has inspired 12,604 youth throughout Western Montana. This summer, an additional 1,100 youth will participate in our Be a Chemist! programming.

Since bringing these activities to rural communities across Western Montana and incorporating them into our programming for the Arlee Celebration Powwow and the Standing Arrow Powwow, we have been amazed at how excited kids get for science and how they immerse themselves in these activities, creating lasting memories of exploration.
