Join the Education Abroad team as a student intern for the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 and help UM students take their learning global!

This role includes coordinating faculty-led programs, creating marketing content, meeting with potential study abroad students, and supporting behind-the-scenes logistics. Perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants experience in program management, communication, and international education. The role requires 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝟭𝟱 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸.

Hey! I’m Julia Burky, a third-year Political Science and Strategic Communications double major studying abroad at University College Cork in Ireland 🇮🇪 I chose UCC for its strong international development and political science courses.

Some of my favorite memories have been Friendsgiving with my international friend group—my second family—and traveling to nearby countries just an hour flight away ✈️ Living abroad has changed how I see the world—life took on new meaning, and I’ve grown to love the difference in spite of the distance.

Over winter break, climate change studies students took their learning to Vietnam. From exploring mangrove forests and visiting aquaculture farms to learning from local experts in the Mekong Delta, they saw firsthand how climate change impacts tropical environments. 🇻🇳 🌱

📢 Looking for an internship at Education Abroad 2025-2026? 📢

This position serves as an Education Abroad Faculty-Directed Study Abroad Programs Coordinator and provides an exciting opportunity to gain experience with faculty-directed study abroad programs in University of Montana’s (UM) Education Abroad Office.

These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
✈️ managing logistics for the faculty-directed programs
✈️ preparing and updating marketing materials
✈️ maintaining clear communication with all participants, program director, and other campus units involved with faculty-directed study abroad programs.

Good computer and customer service skills are critical, and the successful applicant should be very familiar with Microsoft Office suite. This position will enhance individual skills in interpersonal communication, database management, customer relations, organization, and program coordination.

The pay is $15/hour for 15 hours a week.
