What makes Clark Fork School unique?
It is the way we bridge the gap between traditional learning and the grit and wonder of the outdoors.
Inside the classroom or out in the elements, our students are mastering new skills each and every day!
These aren't just fun moments, they are the essential pieces of development that prepare them for Kindergarten and beyond. 💚🌳

Today is one of our favorite days of the entire year! 🌎
This morning, the Sparrow and Magpie classes took to the stage to perform 'Earth Day Birthday' by Maureen Wright.
Today Missoula saw the most rainfall ever recorded on this date, breaking the record set back in 1994! While we usually love playing outside, even during a storm, our playground wasn’t exactly set for a stage.
Our actors and actresses showed how flexible they can be and moved the performance inside, because ironically, even on the wettest Earth Day ever, the show must go on!
Despite the move indoors, it was a joy to watch our students bring these characters to life while sharing a message that sits at the very heart of our school: taking care of the planet is a celebration we can all take part in.
We are so proud of our young learners for their hard work, their big voices, and their commitment to our (very well-watered) home.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special performance!
P.S. Don't forget to pack hats and gloves tomorrow, we've got snow in the forecast! 🌨️
Happy Earth Day!

As a certified Eco-School, we’re proud to partner with Soil Cycle and Missoula Compost to bring composting into our everyday routine.
Today, Soil Cycle visited our school to lead fun, hands-on activities and teach students how food scraps and organic waste can be turned into healthy, nutrient-rich soil.
We’ve also recently added compost buckets to all six of our classrooms, giving students the chance to collect scraps throughout the day.
Thanks to Missoula Compost, those materials are picked up weekly from our compost dumpster and taken to their facility, where they’re processed and transformed into compost instead of ending up in a landfill.
A win for the worms, a win for the planet, and a win for us too! 🌎🪱

We believe that quality learning and care should be accessible to every family.

You know we had to hop on this trend.
Just like that…we became the teachers. 🏫🍎
