More EAST Scoop:
EAST is free to students because it is powered by volunteers and funded by the PTA. Sometimes there are more students than spaces in a class. Please check your calendar to make sure your child will be able to attend all classes before registering so we can make the most of this opportunity. Thank you for understanding!
*New this year: based on parental feedback and suggestion, we are trying registration by lottery rather than first come, first served. Thus you do NOT need to be at your computer when registration opens, but you MUST register before it closes on 10/2 Monday at 3 pm! Please be patient with us as we try this new system.
When you register, you will be asked how your child gets home. If you mark you are picking up your child, please be sure to come into the building to get them from their EAST classroom. Buses run at their regular time; there are no school buses running when EAST classes finish nor is there supervision on the playground. Transportation is your responsibility.
EAST is in need of assistants to help during some of the classes. Assistants are an extra pair of eyes and ears during the class and aid the lead instructor by helping with students' questions, as well as classroom and material clean up. You do not necessarily need to volunteer for the same class your child/ren are signing up to take. We know sometimes kids (and their parents) behave differently if they are together so decide what is right for your family. An added bonus is all EAST volunteers are able to register their children for classes without waiting for a lottery spot.
If you are able to help out with this session and want to receive priority registration, please contact Lisa Hayhurst at 546-6002 or 728-2400 x4355 as soon as possible.
