FUN WITH KOREAN FOOD AND LANGUAGE
Kimchi is a spicy, hot fermented pickle from Korea. I make it in a glass jar a couple of times a year. One of the ingredients is gochugaru, which is Korean hot pepper flakes. It is available at the Good Food Store or online at MilkStreet .com
I thought it might be fun to find out how to say gochugaru with Korean sounds, instead of English. It turns out that the G is pronounced like our K.

SHOW YOUR UM SPIRIT! Volunteers are needed to help assemble and distribute Healthy Griz Kits Aug 10-21. This is round No. 2 of our assembly efforts.
Healthy Griz Kits are personal protective equipment that will be distributed to all University students, staff and faculty. Campus groups and departments are being recruited to assist in filling as many time slots as possible. Each shift lasts two hours, and assembly will happen in the East Auxiliary Gym of the Adams Center. Please visit the sign-up page for times and availability to help keep UM safe this fall!
Volunteers also are needed to help disperse the kits. Please sign up!
Shifts will include social distancing, music and snacks to add a little fun. Please consider offering a few hours of your valuable time to fight COVID-19.

MISSING MIFP BOARD MEMBER ADAIR'S CHALLAH BREAD
One of the MIFP Board Members, Adair, is famous for her contribution of challah bread for many of our get togethers and fundraisers. During this time when our events are postponed, we will all have to make our own challah bread.
