📚 New legal scholarship from Montana Law.

Professor Brianne Holland-Stergar has co-authored a new Stanford Public Law Working Paper examining contingency fees, access to justice and competition in the legal marketplace.

The paper argues that while the market for personal injury representation has serious informational problems, blunt fee caps can actually make legal access worse — especially for vulnerable communities.

Instead, the authors propose reforms focused on transparency and consumer information.
