Today we had Officer Daniel Buchholtz from the Missoula Police Department to talk to our program about his work in law enforcement, safety in our community and what it’s like to be a police officer. The kids had so much fun!

Fun fact: Officer Buchholtz is the father of our wonderful infant room teacher, Josie!

🍎🎃 Fall fun is in full swing at our program! Our brand-new Pumpkin Patch & Apple Center is packed with hands-on activities that spark learning through play:

🍏 Apple color sorting & weighing: building early math, science, and fine motor skills
🥧 Pie-making sensory bin: encouraging creativity, sensory exploration, and dramatic play
🎃 Pumpkin patch full of colorful gourds, pumpkins & corn: supporting language development, color/size recognition, and imaginative play
🍂 Raking leaves: great for gross motor skills and teamwork
🧃 Apple cider pitchers: promoting independence and practical life skills as children serve each other!

We’re falling for all the learning happening this season! 🍁✨

Head in the clouds and loving it! ☁️☀️ Our little meteorologists had a blast using their cloud finders and learning all about the changing seasons. Rain or shine we are always having fun at L and C’s! 😎

Our preschoolers had a blast using their imagination to color with shaving cream today! This week, we’re learning all about each other and our families. The kids practiced writing their names and even drew their families in the foam such a fun and creative way to learn! ✨
