Hey LWM Families- this looks like it would appeal to you!

The Learning with Meaning community is invited to participate in any or all of the upcoming seminar series about Maria Montessori's lesser known but very compelling vision for adolescent education. In addition to appealing to those who teach adolescents, this series is also designed to engage those who are parenting, or who are about to parent an adolescent (or adolescents). The first session, which will be held this week on July 2nd, will serve as a large-scale introduction to Montessori education and to the seminar's goals, as well as a chance for participants to get to know one another. The remaining four sessions will cover

Montessorian developmental theory (7/9);
A closer look at the Montessorian idea of a well-adjusted young adult (ages 18-24) (7/16);
A closer look at the needs of the adolescent (7/23);
The nuts and bolts of the Montessorian experience-based "erdkinder" classroom for adolescents (7/30)
All sessions will happen in the Missoula Public Library on the Wednesdays of July, from 4:30-5:45.

Camps are off to a great start this summer! STEM camps are happening in Paxson Elementary, and Nature camps are happening along the Bitterroot River, near Fort Missoula.
