It’s wonderful to observe collective conversations around perimenopause growing in our community. 🌱

As we transition to our new name ‘Earth Within’, we aim to be another resource to our community as we develop programs for all cyclical bodies. 🌊

One question we are asked frequently is: How do I know if I am in Perimenopause? 🤔

Perimenopause looks different for every-body and can begin in your late 30’s through your 40’s.

If you are experiencing 3 out of these 9 symptoms you may be in perimenopause:

✌️Irregular Periods: This is often the earliest indicator. The time between cycles may lengthen or shorten, and flow can vary from very light to heavy.
✌️Hot Flashes: Sudden waves of intense heat—usually starting in the face, neck, and chest—often accompanied by sweating.
✌️Night Sweats: Hot flashes that occur during sleep
✌️Sleep Disturbances: Insomnia or difficulty staying asleep
✌️Mood Changes: Increased irritability, anxiety, mood swings
✌️Brain Fog: Forgetfulness and trouble concentrating
✌️Vaginal Dryness: Declining estrogen can cause thinning and dryness of the vaginal tissues
✌️Low Libido: A decrease in sexual desire
✌️Weight Gain: A slowing metabolism

Despite this ‘scary’ list of symptoms, there is a great power and inner knowing to be shared during this time.✨✨

Mark you calendar for our first ‘Her Becoming’ retreat on September 20th where we explore dynamic approaches from a breadth of experts in this field. Scholarships are available!

Happy International Day of Action for Women's Health, lovelies!

Today is a global reminder that every girl and woman deserves access to health education. This year's theme says it perfectly: Essential, Not Optional.

This is exactly why we do what we do at Earth Within. We help girls understand their bodies, connect with nature, and build confidence that carries them for life. And this summer, we're offering full and partial scholarships to make sure cost is never what stands between a girl and that experience. 💛

If our work has ever meant something to you, today is a beautiful day to pay it forward. Your donation goes directly toward getting more girls to camp so they can learn about cycle health through plant walks, medicine-making, foraging adventures, and all.

Please donate at the link in bio. Every little bit helps and we are so grateful for this community!

🌸Flower Medicine, July 6–10 or July 20–24: plant ID, foraging, and personalized herbal self-care kits
🌱Root Medicine, August 17–21: shoots, roots + wild dyeing as the season turns toward fall

All camps are open to girls and non-binary students ages 7+.

If cost has been a barrier, we invite you to apply. Scholarships are available for girlies who would benefit from our programs and could use a little extra support getting there. 🤗

So, your child’s period started. Hopefully it was an easy transition and they feel ready for this new phase of life 🌱

Then… there’s the question that is often overlooked. What comes next? 🤔

Similar to the ending of periods through perimenopause and menopause the body is in a period of transition, and on this end of the spectrum- newly learning how to communicate between the brain and the ovaries. 💪

With this can come:

🌼Heavy or lighter Bleeding
🌼Irregular periods
🌼emotional deregulation and uncertainty

This is one of the reasons Earth Within exists- to guide child and family through this essential time of confidence building, boundary setting, body image and empowerment. A time that we believe is crucial to a child’s mental health and wellbeing as they age.

Mamas are the core of the earth 🌎 life givers, the epitome of strength, resilience and grace.

Tbt our mama daughter retreat last weekend in Arlee. This was an entirely scholarship-based retreat and it was so beautiful to witness these mamas taking a break from the demands of life to slow down and connect with their littles. 🤍

We celebrated coming of age with making a flower crown to wear when they start their first bleed and honoring each other womb space with flowers and found adornments from the land. 🌸

We are so grateful to Sylvia for gifting us with the yurt and land for all of our Her Flowering Retreats. Join the waitlist for our Fall retreat by signing up four our enewsletter in our link in bio, lovelies 🌱

Beautiful words of wisdom from Salish Native Plant and Cultural Educator 🌱

Everything goes through a cycle. The plants, the animals, the moon, our wombs. What a beautiful natural phenomenon. 🌕

We are offering a free summer camp for Confederate and Salish Kootenai tribal members. Please spread the word to anyone you know would benefit! 🤗
