Lead Teacher for the 2-3 or 3-6 year old classroom

Montessori certified applicants are highly desirable, but we are happy to train the right person.

We are looking for a caring, patient, curious, responsible individual with either 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare facility or a bachelor’s degree who is willing to attain Infant/Child CPR & First-Aid certification. We are a close-knit community, passionately growing global citizens by emphasizing education as a path to peace. Applicants must provide records of MMR and tetanus immunizations and pass a criminal background check. Position available now! Wage will depend on experience and training. Starting at $14 an hour with successive raises based on performance and training.

This position will be responsible for creating a beautiful Montessori classroom for 14 2-3 year olds or 16 3-6 year olds to learn and grow in. Creative, observant teachers will thrive in this environment!

Hours are flexible, morning to late afternoon preferred.

Lead Afternoon Teacher

This position is low-stress and dynamic: you will be taking care of the afterschool program, assisting the 2 and 3 year-olds and helping with preparatory tasks important for maintaining smooth school operations.

2-3 year old Assistant Teacher

We are looking for a caring, patient, curious, responsible individual with either 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare facility or a bachelor’s degree who is willing to attain Infant/Child CPR & First-Aid certification. We are a close-knit community, passionately growing global citizens by emphasizing education as a path to peace. Applicants must provide records of MMR and tetanus immunizations and pass a criminal background check. Position begins late summer. Wage will depend on experience and training. Starting at $12 an hour with successive raises based on performance and training.

Hours are flexible, ideally 8:30-3:30, M-F

Sunflower Montessori School is looking to hire a substitute assistant teacher to cover for the teacher on maternity leave. The position will be available from January 6th through March 2nd with a possibility to become permanent.
