We are so proud to announce that our Senior, Madison Scudder, has been accepted into Mississippi University for Women’s M.S. Speech-Language Pathology Program!🦉💙

“One piece of advice I’d give to underclassmen is to get out of your comfort zone early and make connections-especially during your first few weeks. The professors at the W truly want you to come by and build those connections, so don’t be intimidated—if their door is open, stop by, say hey, and introduce yourself. It can make a big difference. Also, get involved in something that interests you and find study buddies. Everyone is in the same boat, and having friends to go through it with makes everything feel a lot less overwhelming and lonely.”

“My piece of advice is definitely take advantage of shadowing opportunities whenever you can, they make such a difference in helping you understand the field and decide if it’s the right fit. Getting to see everything come to life outside of the classroom is something I’m really grateful for now. And as cliché as it sounds, try to slow down and soak it all in as much as you can, the days feel long but the years really do fly by.”
