On behalf of the faculty and staff at Chapa Elementary School, it is our pleasure to welcome you to Established in 1994, Elodia R. Elodia R. Chapa. Mrs. D. A.

Chapa Elementary School is home to prekinder, kindergarten, and grades one through five. Chapa School is known throughout the community where “Kids Come First!”

In May 21, 1994, the Board of Trustees of La Joya Independent School District dedicated this elementary school to a very dedicated and loving educator, Elodia R. Chapa was a teacher and principal in La Joya I.S. for over forty years

🎨👕 Chapa ACE students created their own tie-dye shirts with Mr. Tovar while learning about colors and how mixing them creates new shades and patterns. A fun, hands-on lesson that combined creativity and learning! 🌈✨

🦋 Chapa ACE students explored the life cycle of a butterfly by creating an edible model of each stage using food items. A fun, hands-on way to bring science to life while building understanding of butterfly development! 🐛➡️🦋

🌎🍚 Chapa ACE students explored the layers of the Earth with Mr. Tovar using Rice Krispies treats and food coloring! Through this creative, hands-on STEM activity, students learned about the Earth’s crust, mantle, outer core, and inner core while making connections between science concepts and real-world models.

Engaging activities like this help students develop a deeper understanding of Earth science through observation, creativity, and interactive learning. Great job, students! 👏✨

🧪✨ Chapa ACE students had a blast creating slime with Mr. Tovar! Through this fun hands-on activity, students explored science concepts by observing how different materials combine to create a new substance.
