Sometimes, showing up says everything.

At IDEA Victory, students recently walked side by side with some of the most important people in their lives during the campus’s annual Father’s Walk.

Dads, grandfathers, uncles and other father figures came together to celebrate their scholars, cheer them on and remind them just how many people are in their corner.

Here’s to the people who show up, walk alongside our students and encourage them to dream big.

🎗️ October is National Bullying Prevention Month.

This month is a reminder of the role we all play in building school communities rooted in kindness, respect and belonging.

By speaking up, looking out for one another and taking concerns seriously, we can help create a culture where bullying has no place. At IDEA, our school counselors, social workers and campus leaders are trained in bullying prevention and response protocols to help recognize concerns and support our scholars.

💙 For Breyona Morrison, Principal of IDEA Edgecliff College Prep, the work has always come back to one thing: students.

From beginning her IDEA journey in the classroom to now leading the campus she helped open, Breyona’s story is a reminder of the heart our school leaders bring to their communities every day.

This National Principals Appreciation Month, we’re celebrating Breyona and principals across IDEA who lead with purpose and continue showing up for the students, staff and families they serve.

To our principals across IDEA: thank you for leading with heart. 💙

🌱 From seed to salad bar, it starts right here at IDEA Farms.

October is Farm to School Month, and we’re celebrating the farms that give our scholars opportunities to learn outdoors, get their hands dirty and see how food makes its way from the ground to their school communities. 🥬

👩‍🌾 Here’s to the farms, food and hands-on learning growing across IDEA!

🍎 And remember: Every IDEA scholar can enjoy breakfast and lunch at school at no cost, with free supper also available at select campuses.

🎗️ After a year-and-a-half battle with cancer, fifth grader Lejend rang the bell. 💙

And through it all, his IDEA Robinson community made sure he knew he wasn't fighting alone.

While treatment kept Lejend home from school, his friends sent letters, drew pictures and even FaceTimed him during lunch so he could still share that time with his classmates.

Last week, those same friends, family and campus community came together to celebrate Lejend with a parade and balloon release, while IDEA Eastside and IDEA Converse joined IDEA Robinson in wearing gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness.

Lejend, your IDEA Team & Family is celebrating right alongside you. 🎗️
