Scroll to the bottom of the page. Sharyland Rattlers will be seated on the “VISITOR’s” side, however a seating area will be created at the Southwest end zone area (Pioneer’s home team side) so we won’t have to walk far.

Mega Reunion November 1st & 2nd, 2024 Update as of (October 20, 24) Please continue to report your numbers:
Friday, Nov 1st is Game night. Sharyland Rattlers VS Sharyland Pioneers. Pregame gatherings are happening. Example: 5:00pm visit will take place at the Embassy Suites Convention Center. Some of us are staying there. There will be another gathering at the Incredibowl (Originally called The Graperfruit Bowl) starting about have time.
Saturday morning, Nov 2nd from 9:30am to 1:00pm will be at The Castleman Gymnasium. Welcome speeches, prizes, honoring of special guests, military, and those that have past, followed by a lot of time to visit.
Saturday night, Nov 2nd from 7pm to 9pm will be various gatherings around town. An example: Adrianna has a 1970s Class "RSVP" going on at Casa Del Taco. It can hold 70 attendees. There may be enough room though. If it fills, we will try to work something out.
This is growing everyday. The following are classes and their numbers that I have heard from. I am sure some have not been reported yet. Let me know if I missed any classes that will be attending and if the numbers I have listed are accurate.
1963 (1), 1968 (1), 1969 (1), 1970 (1), 1974 (16), 1975 (10), 1976 (18), 1977 (3), 1978 (3), 1979 (1), 1988 (1).

Mega Reunion is growing by leaps and bounds!
November 1, 2024 Friday: Pre-game gatherings, Football game, after game gatherings.
November 2nd, 2024 Saturday: Main event 9:30 - 1:00 at Castleman Gymnasium… Welcome speeches, awards, and tons of time to just visit and catch up with each other.
Saturday night many gatherings throughout the area.
It started out as Class of 1974 50th reunion and now has exploded into a Mega Reunion. Other class “Leaders” have started their search for fellow classmates. This could be your 40th, 45th, 50th, 55th, 60th. Leaders, please contact me with your numbers. We had close to 400 people attend a 2018 Mega Reunion. Let’s do this!

Darrell Longwell’s Funeral Service:

There will be a viewing at Ric Brown Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 7th at 3:00 pm for the family and 4:00 pm for the friends.

The funeral service will be at Ric Brown Funeral Home Thursday the 8th at 10:00 am with the burial at 11:00 am at Laurel Hill Cemetery on North Holland Ave.

Ric Brown Funeral Home is located on the Expressway in Mission at the former Luby’s Cafeteria.

Another Sharyland Classmate has past away. Please check on friends and family frequently. This is a tough reality check of how fragile our bodies can be.
Darrell Longwell, class 1970, past away from COVID and Pneumonia at his home before anyone knew he was sick enough to be hospitalized. Rest in peace and may God comfort friends and family through this difficult time.
