Located in South Orange County, Stratford's Mission Viejo campus has opened as a partnership between Stratford School and Carden Academy, which has been operating in Mission Viejo since 1994. As of the 2017/2018 school year Stratford has added a preschool to the Mission Viejo campus to provide a comprehensive program from Preschool through Eighth Grade. Our Kindergarten Prep Young Chefs whipped up something special! 👩‍🍳🧁

From measuring and mixing ingredients to creating colorful bake sale signs, our students built confidence, practiced teamwork, and strengthened early math and science skills through hands-on learning. They also explored the science of bread by observing how it changes over time, turning everyday baking into meaningful discovery.

Learning is even sweeter when it’s hands-on! 💙✨

Tales & Toppings: Another Sweet Success! 📚🍨

Our second Tales & Toppings Book Club was a wonderful afternoon of stories, creativity, and fun! Students enjoyed engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and, of course, building their own delicious ice cream sundaes.

It has been so rewarding to watch students connect through a shared love of reading, build new friendships, and create lasting summer memories. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make Tales & Toppings such a special experience!

✨ ROAR & Explore: Magical Mayhem! ✨

Our ROAR & Explore campers stepped into a world of imagination during Magical Mayhem! From creating fairy houses, magical mirrors, and magical ties to enjoying exciting indoor and outdoor games, every activity sparked creativity and adventure.

Campers brought the magic of Harry Potter to life as they were sorted into their Hogwarts houses, participated in themed challenges, and let their imaginations run wild while practicing spells and working together as a team.

The fun continued with water balloon games and splashing in the splash pad, creating unforgettable summer memories filled with laughter, teamwork, and friendship.

We love seeing our campers explore, create, and make lasting memories all summer long!

🎉 MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER HANGOUT: AN EVENING OF FUN AND FRIENDSHIP

Our Middle School Summer Hangout was an evening full of fun, laughter, and connection! Students enjoyed friendly games of basketball and volleyball, listened to music, and spent time reconnecting with old friends while getting to know new classmates.

One of the highlights of the evening was tie-dyeing canvas book bags that students can use during the upcoming school year. It was wonderful to see everyone expressing their creativity and making lasting summer memories together.

Building Strong Foundations! ✏️📚Our Middle School Prep students are exploring the concept of identity through the lens of empathy. By analyzing a variety of texts, including memoirs, poems, informational articles, and short stories, students are strengthening their reading comprehension skills while examining the many influences that shape who we are.

In mathematics, students are building confidence with a range of new concepts, including estimating square roots, translating verbal expressions into algebraic equations, exploring the properties of transversals, and simplifying complex equations. Their curiosity, critical thinking, and perseverance continue to lay a strong foundation for future learning.

Our campers had an amazing time exploring the exciting world of science through hands-on experiments, creative thinking, and discovery! They made predictions, recorded observations in their science journals, and learned what it means to think like real scientists.

From exciting experiments and themed crafts to outdoor games and making unforgettable memories with friends, every day was filled with curiosity, laughter, and learning.

What an incredible adventure and a wonderful reminder that learning is always more fun when it’s hands-on! 💙

🇺🇸 What an incredible way to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary!

Our Stratford School community was honored to participate in the City of Mission Viejo’s Independence Day Parade alongside so many amazing local organizations. Seeing our students, families, and staff come together to represent both our Mission Viejo and Laguna Niguel campuses made this celebration even more meaningful.

A heartfelt thank you to City of Mission Viejo and the City of Mission Viejo for including us in this incredible celebration. We are grateful to have been part of such a special event and loved celebrating this historic milestone with our community.

Thank you to everyone who marched, cheered, waved flags, and helped create such a memorable day. We are proud to be part of a community that celebrates connection, tradition, and the joy of learning together. ❤️🤍💙

📚 1st Grade Academic Bridge: Ready for First Grade!

Our students spent the summer building a strong foundation for first grade through fun, engaging learning experiences. They strengthened their writing and math skills while exploring the fascinating world of birds through hands-on activities and discovery.

We loved watching their confidence grow as they practiced important academic skills and prepared for a successful start to the new school year. Here’s to a year filled with curiosity, learning, and success! ✨

🧪✨ Mad Science brought learning to life!

Our campers were captivated by exciting, interactive experiments as they explored fascinating scientific concepts like air pressure, fire, and the properties of air. From watching incredible demonstrations to stepping into the role of junior scientists, every moment sparked curiosity, encouraged critical thinking, and inspired a love of discovery.

It was an unforgettable experience filled with hands-on learning, laughter, and plenty of “wow” moments that showed science is even more exciting when you experience it firsthand!

🇺🇸 Celebrating 250 Years of America! ❤️🤍💙

Our students had a wonderful time celebrating the Fourth of July and America’s 250th anniversary with a day full of patriotic fun! They created festive red, white, and blue crafts and enjoyed posing at our patriotic photo booth, making special memories with their classmates.

The celebration continues! We hope you’ll join us at the Mission Viejo 250th America Anniversary Parade on Saturday, July 11, hosted by City of Mission Viejo Be sure to cheer us on as we celebrate alongside our wonderful community. We can’t wait to see you there!
