John Young Middle School Robotics Team qualified yesterday for the Indiana State Championship in the FIRST Tech Challenge. Event to be held March 14th at the University of Indianapolis.

Thanks School City of Mishawaka Education Foundation for supporting the team.

Congratulations to our John Young Band and Orchestra Students who participated at the 2026 ISSMA Contest on January 31, 2026. Every performance earned a Gold Rating.

DATE CHANGE: The date of MHS's 8th grade night/interested students night has been changed to Feb. 4, 2026. We moved it back by one week due to school closings to allow MHS counselors to get in their visits to JYMS to talk to 8th graders about scheduling for next year BEFORE students come to MHS. Please help us spread the word!

Congratulations to: Liam Thompson, Dorthia Vogel, Noah DeVreese, Sophie Lee, Hunter Smith, and Landen Plonski on being selected for the 2025 Indiana BandMasters All Region Band. They will perform at Penn High School on 11/16/25 with 110 other students from 20+ area Middle Schools and High Schools.

MPG had Travelin' Tom's Coffee today to thank our staff! It was a very nice treat!!

Today's the day!! Come out to John Young Middle School for our 4th Annual Parking Lot Sale. We have over 30 crafters/vendors/etc, PLUS two food vendors!! Travelin' Tom's Coffee of South Bend will be here, along with one of our staff members Food Trucks!! We'll be here from 9am-3pm.

Mark your calendars for this Saturday, as we are having our 4th Annual Parking Lot Sale! We have 25 different vendors/sellers participating. Most are garage sale type items, but we do have Scentsy and Pampered Chef as well. This year we also have Travelin' Tom's Coffee!! Can't wait to see everyone!
