We're so excited for Wildsong classes to start next week. We still have available seats and it's not too late for your family to join our growing community!
Wildsong offers drop-off morning classes for children ages 3-6 (one or two day options from Monday-Thursday) and grades 1st-3rd (one day option on Thursdays). All classes take place at The Mishawaka Res from 8:30 am-11:45 pm.
Our small mixed-aged classrooms focus on outdoor, child-centered, nature-based learning and play! Our younger class is primarily focused on free play but also reviews basic early literacy and math skills, while our older children cover literacy and science topics.
Our classes learn through and with the seasons, stomping in the creek in late summer, raking leaves and harvesting pumpkins in the fall, building snowmen in the meadow in the winter, and playing in the rain while watching plants grow in the spring. We read books, do art, sing, play games, share stories, and laugh together.
We've observed that many of our children benefit from the soft skills modeled and practiced within a caring group, such a conflict resolution, problem solving, responsibility for taking care of their own things, emotional regulation, and how to make and keep friends.
We also have seasonal family gatherings and volunteer days to further connect our families together.
