Congratulations Kennedy Laney! She successfully completed the Honors Scholars Program this week with the successful defense of her thesis, “How Cultural Backgrounds Affect the Outcomes of Addiction Therapies.” We are so proud of all you accomplished in your two years at Pfeiffer including the honors program. Huge congratulations to Savannah Faircloth for completing the requirements of the Honors Scholar Program. Yesterday, she defended her thesis project, “Effects of a Student-Led Fitness Program on University Faculty Hand Grip Strength.” Savannah helped get the faculty SWEAT program off the ground and many of us benefited having someone make us keep up with our workouts! Savannah will continue on to Pfeiffer’s Occupational Therapy Program this fall. We were lucky to have you as part of the Honors Scholars Program and Department of Natural and Health Sciences. Congratulations, Lola!!! Her thesis project defense was this morning (5/5) for her project, “Organic or Overpriced? Examining Cost Reporting and Pricing Strategies in the Food Industry”. Such a relevant topic in society today. After Pfeiffer, Lola is planning an internship and pursuing a masters degree in the field of business or accounting. She has contributed so much to the Pfeiffer community, including several research projects within the Honors Scholar Program. We are excited for all you will accomplish in the future, Lola.

A well-deserved congratulations to Laurin Rauer, a member of the Milton Rose and Honors Scholar Reseaech Programs. He completed several research projects while at Pfeiffer, but his honors and Milton Rose thesis project is titled, “Microplastic Exposure Reduces Innate Immune Function in Pill Bugs: A Phenol Oxidase Biomarker Study”. After Pfeiffer, Laurin will continue his education through a graduate program within biotechnology. We are incredibly proud of you, Laurin!
