Sports Management Spotlight: Alexis “Lex” Bynum
Alexis currently serves as an Out of State Admission Counselor at Pfeiffer University!
While at Pfeiffer, Alexis was a member of the Women’s Basketball Team. One highlight of her career was scoring over 1,000 points!
Favorite Memory?
“It’s hard to choose a favorite, but my top two would be when we went to the Knights stadium and did like a panel and toured and when we got to plan our own canned drive halftime giveaways at some of the sports events, my group actually won!”
Most important skills?
“The skills that are the most useful are the hands-on experience you will get here at Pfeiffer in any major. I also gained a lot from leadership and teamwork experiences, which helped me feel more confident in group settings and real-world environments. Lastly, the program really emphasized networking and professionalism, which prepared me to build connections and present myself well.”
Advice to current students?
“Take advantage of every opportunity to gain real-world experience through internships, volunteering, and campus involvement, it truly sets you apart. Build your network early and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Most importantly, stay organized and manage your time well so you can make the most of everything the program offers.”
Is there anything you would like to add?
