I was fortunate to have met both of the candidates running for District 7’s BESE position. This is one of the most important elections in our state. I was able to question both candidates and Dr Erick Knezek is absolutely the best choice. I asked both why they were running for this Important position. Berken’s reply stunned me. “They sought me out!” He said. If you have been getting those awful fliers in the mail, then you know who “They” are. These are the same special interest groups and lobbyists who have been buying these elections for twelve years and they believe the voters are simple enough to believe those ridiculous computer generated pictures. They put hundreds of thousands of dollars into these campaigns every cycle. They find a candidate who is pleasant but simple so they can direct them in spending the billions of dollars in the La Department of Education fund.
Erick Knezek will not fit their mold. He is honest and sincere. He is not beholden to any special interest group. I humbly ask that you consider voting for Erick on Oct 14.
