Okay so it's been about a week since the recital! And I've been thinking about how awesome everybody did and how supportive your families were! Just want to say congratulations because each and everyone of you put on a great performance! One of my professors used to say that during the summer your playing either gets better or worse. Let's use this summer to hone our skills so we can enter into the fall season as better musicians.

It came up more than once this week that when you are practicing new music it always accuracy over speed.

Slow the music to a speed where you can play it. Only increase speed when you can play without errors. And remember to keep your count, no matter what the speed is.
