My passion project has been to figure out ways to access more 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 for the homeschooled students in our community, where:
1. The schedule makes sense for the school day.
2. Musical concepts taught enhance any music curriculum used at home.
3. Provides an interactive learning experience focused on building skills in music making alongside likeminded students and families.

I was homeschooled and I homeschool my own kids! 😁
But, I didn't have access to music education as a child. 😢

I don't believe you're too young or too old to start learning music. If I had listened to the Debbie Downer in my head, I wouldn't be a music teacher today. So, don't let age be a reason to not try because music is for everyone! 🎶

Today is our 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗔𝗥𝗬! But, that's actually not the exciting part. We're FINALLY able to share...

𝗪𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀!

(We get contacted about this at least once per week, so we hope you're as hyped as we are! 🎸🤩)

Class information is below! Sign ups will happen at our open house on 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟯-𝟱𝗽𝗺. Spots are limited. Come out to be the first to sign up and meet the teachers.

Beginners and intermediate players are welcome. We have an idea of what we'll teach, but the biggest factor in how this class will go is YOU! As always, ASAPH School of Music strives for organic learning that is student led. You're the biggest asset to this class, so come build your community!

This first round will be for ages 14+... BUT, we've already got some ideas for classes specific to younger ages. We just want to get a class under our belts so we can make sure we're adapting our teaching age appropriately.

Lastly, if you have your own guitar - plan to use it! If you do not have a guitar but really want to join in, talk to Joanna Miller. The Department of Fine and Performing Arts, Minot State University has graciously worked with us to supply a limited amount of guitars that can be used during the class. (THANK YOU!🥳)
