Every student at UNISS hits a hard day.

The technical skill that felt impossible last week finally clicks this week, the client who was difficult taught you something you'll use for decades, The standards you almost did not meet pushed you past where you thought you could go.

Resilience is not something we teach, it is something we create the conditions for.

This hair transformation is an example of just that. The first picture is the before, the second picture is after a student finished a multiple hour long service trying to correct the color.
The client left satisfied, but the student did not. She didn't like the way it turned out, knew it wasn't what she thought was her best, and it wasn't the work she wanted walking around.
So, she did the harder, right thing. She asked if she could call the client and ask her to come back in so she could fix it up to her standards. The last 2 pictures are her 2nd after, the after the client loved, wasn't just satisfied with, and the student was PROUD of her work.

Sometimes things don't work out how we thought they would, and that's okay. We learn, grow, & do better the next time.

The real growth shows in our personal development and students here are showing just that; Growth & Resilience.

Balayage Day!

Our students took their skills to the next level with a hands-on balayage class featuring the amazing Julie 🤩

There's nothing like learning new techniques, asking questions, and getting hands-on experience from industry professionals. The girls took in so much information and are excited to take their new skills & show them off behind the chair!

At UNISS, we believe the best learning happens when you can learn it, practice it, and create it!

At UNISS, training includes real clients on a professional clinic floor.

This is not a simulation, it's supervised professional practice that prepares you to step into any licensed environment and confidently deliver.

The gap between graduating and being ready to work professionally is significantly smaller at UNISS because we don't skip this part. It's maybe even our favorite part.

Understanding your scope of practice as a licensed beauty professional is not just a legal requirement, it is a professional responsibility.

At UNISS we teach our students exactly where their license allows them to work and where a client needs to be referred to a different type of provider.
