🦷Two amazing dental hygienist students volunteered their time to teach our classes the importance of keeping our mouths and teeth clean! They read a book, demonstrated things that are great to eat and things that are not so great for our teeth! They even brought teeth with “sugar bugs”!!! Each child was given a tooth brush to brush away all those “sugar bugs”! All of the children were so intrigued and gave their full attention — so fun AND educational 🤩

As a parting gift, these ladies handed out goodie bags containing tools to encourage the practice of good oral hygiene! 🪥🦷 thank you both for your time and we look forward to seeing you in a dental clinic here in our community! 🥰

Michaela, a wonderful daycare parent of ours, brought her therapy dog Theo to visit us today! While demonstrating all of his skills (while in work mode) everyone was very engaged and listened so patiently. Theo turned lights on, picked up keys for Michaela, gave emotional support when she cried and when she asked for a hug 🥰 🐾

Theo is trained to provide comfort, support and relief for children and adults in various settings — these two work together daily!!🙌🏼 Thank you, Michaela and Theo, for coming to LRCC, but also the support you provide to our community!

Today our community helper to join us is Chef Brian with The Ironhorse Kitchen + Bar! He talked about fruits vs vegetables, proteins and carbs, and why a chef would wear a chef hat!! 🥳We are delighted to host Jeannine Williamson, author of Rosa the Lion, at LRCC next week for an Author Event. 📖Jeannine will read to our upper classes and llamas, sharing the story of Rosa, a lion cub who joins a zookeeper and his dog on their daily zoo adventures.

We invite parents to join us, and books will be available for purchase; please preorder in advance at the office! 📚
