Our toddlers and preschoolers had an amazing day at Roosevelt Park Zoo for their very first field trip of the school year! It was a day full of wonder, discovery, and joyful learning. 🌿✨

Field trips give our children the opportunity to connect classroom learning with the world around them—and there’s nothing quite like seeing their excitement as they experience it firsthand!

We’re so proud of our little explorers and grateful to be part of all the memories they made this week. What a wonderful way to begin a new school year! 🐘🦓🦋

Today, one of our preschoolers chose to work with the Spindle Box.

As she carefully counts and places the spindles into the numbered compartments, she is practicing:

🔢 Counting in sequence
✋ Fine-motor coordination
🧠 Concentration and focus
🌟 Connecting written numerals with quantities

Here, she is learning through hands-on experience, repetition, and discovery—building skills at her own pace while developing confidence and independence.
