This is a fox that I've painted, but haven't painted the background and I need to fix some of the fine details of the painting. I usually paint all-at-once - it takes a couple of hours and I get really cranky if I'm interrupted.
While I'm painting it, I'm also getting the egg shells ready. They're NOT painted, if they were painted they'd be a flat color and they're not, the colors are more variegated. I've come up with my own process of mixing translucent colors and I try to get the color to go from light to dark on each piece of eggshell.
After all the painting is done, I start mosaicing. I usually start with the face.
I'll post more photos of this piece as it progresses.
