The no travel advisory has been lifted, but we continue to encourage motorists to remain cautious on the roads. While conditions have improved, there are still likely to be patches of ice, particularly in residential areas.

As winds pick up and temperatures drop, road conditions may change quickly. Please slow down, allow for extra stopping distance, and stay alert as you travel.

Thank you to our City crews who have been working hard throughout the day to improve road conditions.

7:00 a.m update:
Freezing rain has created extremely hazardous road conditions in and around Minot. The Minot Police Department is advising no travel at this time as conditions continue to worsen.

If travel is absolutely necessary, please slow down and allow for extra stopping distance. City crews are working hard, but the weather is making conditions extremely challenging.

Due to the poor travel conditions:
• Municipal Court is canceled today. Court dates will be rescheduled by Municipal Court staff. Please call the Municipal Court office with any questions.
• The Minot Police Department Records Division is closed until further notice.

Please stay safe and avoid travel if possible.

Due to hazardous road conditions Magic City Day Care Center and Preschool will not open until 9:45am today.

Incase you missed yesterday.

If you are struggling-whether it be the government shut down, just hard times, toddlers ate you out of house or home and payday isn't close, whatever the case-we are here to help. We brought back Breakfast in a Bag just for those times!

No cost. No questions. No Judgement.
Just a smile and a bag full of breakfast and lunch items (milk, cereal, snacks, oatmeal, bread, peanut butter and jelly, etc.)

We have been in the stressful times where you just want to sit down and cry and no clue how you are going to start out tomorrow any better then today. And somehow, God always brought someone around to share a smile and hope with us and we want to do the same for those around us. Just one neighbor to another.

So if you are in need of that smile and glimpse of hope, or you know someone who is-stop on by the kiosk during business hours, and just ask for a breakfast in a bag. 💚 We will not share any info with anyone. This is a safe space to get a little extra hope today and not feel judged.
