Juneteenth
Juneteenth is Saturday, June 19. Minot State University recognizes and supports this holiday celebrating the emancipation of African-Americans who had been enslaved. We invite our Minot State University community to join in a community celebration this Saturday, June 19 from 12-5 p.m. in the old K-Mart parking lot. Please see the GRAPHIC for more information.

Diploma Days
MSU Registrar's Office is excited to announce Diploma Days. Students who received a congratulations letter and/or text message that their degree was posted can pick up their diploma.
• Dates: June 16, 17, and 18 ONLY
• Location: Registrar's Office, Administration Building, first floor (follow the balloons)
• Time: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Make sure to bring a photo ID
• NO need to let us know if you're picking up or not
• If your diploma is not picked up during these times, it will be mailed

Scholarship America and Wells Fargo are pleased to announce the 2021 Wells Fargo Veterans Scholarship, Wells Fargo Veterans Emergency Grant and Wells Fargo Scholarships for People with Disabilities programs.
The Wells Fargo Veterans Scholarship Program provides renewable scholarships up to $5,000 per year, to fill gaps for eligible veterans, their spouses and widows after military benefits and other grants and scholarships have been utilized. The deadline to apply is July 8, 2021.
Wells Fargo’s Veterans Emergency Grant program helps veterans already enrolled in postsecondary education meet their household expenses when faced with unexpected financial setbacks. Ranging up to $1,000, these immediate, one-time grants are designed to keep recipients in school without creating undue financial hardship.
Finally, the Wells Fargo Scholarship Program for People with Disabilities provides renewable scholarships up to $2,500 for full-time students and up to $1,250 for half-time students who have an identified disability (defined as someone who has, or considers themselves to have, a long-term or recurring issue that impacts one or more major life activity). Applications for this program are open through June 30, 2021.

Limited summer tutoring
The MSU Writing Center is open for limited summer tutoring. All summer tutoring is either etutoring (asynchronous) or online (synchronous). There will be NO face-to-face appointments. To make an appointment, log in or register for an account HERE. If you choose etutoring, please remember to attach your paper using the links at the bottom of the appointment form. The tutor will comment on your paper and email it back to you. If you choose online tutoring, you will need to be at your computer, logged into WC Online, at the appointment time and day. You and the tutor will communicate live via audio, video, and text. For questions, contact PATTI KURTZ or call 858-3073.

Our 2021 scholarship for college students with diagnosed disabilities, is closing the application phase on June 15, 2021 at 11:59pm.
The Springboard Foundation is proud to extend scholarships to full-time undergraduate college/university students who have documented disabilities of any type that are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act and/or the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Our scholarship recipients attend college and universities across the United States and are currently registered with their Colleges/Universities disability services office.
We want to invite you the share this information with your students, staff, colleagues, and friends.
Below, please find the general conditions and eligibility requirements:
• Students must have completed 24 credits at an accredited College or University.
• Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Students must be registered with their college/university’s disability services office. Students must provide a letter from the disability services office confirming registration with the office.
• U.S. CITIZENS and U.S. PERMANENT RESIDENTS ONLY are eligible to apply.
• The awards range from $1,000 to $2,500.
• General scholarships are available to everyone.
• To apply, a student should submit an application directly via The Springboard Foundation website.
• A campus photo is required, but students can feel free to be very creative with sharing a campus photo while safely practicing physical distancing.

Powwow volunteers needed
The Native American Center and Club are seeking volunteers to help with the 31st Annual Spring Honor Dance and Powwow Celebration April 30 and May 1 in the Minot State Dome. This is an honoring powwow for 2020/2021 graduates, learn more HERE. The event poster is HERE. Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
• Set up — April 29, 5 p.m.
• Food both - April 30, 2-10 p.m. and May 1, 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.
• Dancer/drum registration — April 30, 2:30-10 p.m. and May 1, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
• T-shirt/raffle — April 30, 2:30-10 p.m. and May 1, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
• Teardown—May 1, 9-11 p.m.

Summer and Fall registration open at Minot State
Minot State University’s Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 semester registrations open with priority registration for each on Tuesday, March 30 for all currently enrolled MSU students.
Current Minot State degree seeking undergraduate or graduate students who enroll by April 11 are automatically entered in a drawing for free coffee for a year.
Students can register for classes after the April 11 date, but classes are subject to availability and students can only be entered into the drawing for the free coffee if registration is completed before the end date.
MSU students should also consult their academic advisor by appointment and check with the MSU registrar’s office any holds on their account prior to beginning their Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 schedule. The MSU registrar can be contacted by text (701-809-9282) or by phone (701-858-3345). See the Registration and Forms SECTION on the registrar’s website for specific forms processing.
New and transfer students must complete new student orientation before enrolling and should check their email for information on how to sign up. Contact the Minot State admissions office for any questions.
