Good morning Knight Nation! Here's some good news for our wallets! Illinois is having a State sales tax holiday! What is a State sales tax holiday?

The State sales tax holiday is a ten-day period during which consumers can purchase certain clothing and school-related items and pay sales tax at a reduced rate. The State’s portion of sales tax due throughout the holiday is reduced by 5 percent (5.00%) from 6.25 percent (6.25%) to 1.25 percent (1.25%).

Items include qualifying clothing and footwear with a retail selling price of less than $125 per item and certain school supplies used by students in the course of study. School supplies are not subject to the $125 threshold.

Happy retirement to the man, the myth, the legend!

We aren’t sure if he’s retiring because he’s ready for a break, or because he finally realized he’s outnumbered by tiny humans with sticky hands. Either way, Mr. Scott is officially hanging up the keys!

Field Day is moving to Wednesday, May 20th due to weather. We will swap Monday and Wednesday's lunches. Turkey and cheese wrap will be on Monday and Hot dogs on Wednesday. Race times remain the same.

K: 8:45-9:45
1st: 9:45-10:45
2nd: 12:30-1:30

Bring a lawn chair and join us Wednesday for races at West Side Park by the Water tower.

Both girls raised over $500 each and the Fieldcrest Primary Gym will be named after them until next year's Kids Heart Challenge.

If your child has a Kids Heart Challenge green shirt, please have them wear it or any green shirt tomorrow to celebrate our fundraising efforts for the American Heart Association.
