We celebrated Nolan at our annual Lakeland STAR Golf Outing! Nolan was incredible and really showed our donors what Rising STAR means for the life of our students! Way to go, Nolan! We wish you the best in your life 💙

Today, star students had an exceptional experience at Area 31. It was a great day to celebrate a wonderful year. We are grateful to Area 31 for having us. Memories were made. Area 31 what a wonderful experience, thank you!

Star students presented their Netherlands and WW2 projects today for our special guest, Dawn Pieper. In return, Dawn presented a wonderful presentation of her trip to the Netherlands and all of the places and people they studied. It was a fantastic morning at Lakeland Star Middle School!

Of all the amazing charter school leaders in our state, Steph is one of the kindest and most dedicated. She stands out as someone who is incredibly passionate about ensuring every student has the support they need - from helping students with daily routines to supporting them on their math tests.

She is supportive of her staff, deeply engaged with her board, and has a strong partnership with their authorizer. Steph has worked tirelessly to ensure that students of every ability and learning style have the opportunity to thrive in the Northwoods.

What inspires you most about this person?
The environment of Steph's schools is one of calm and joy, which requires thoughtful effort to create and maintain. Especially when the outside world can feel so chaotic, it’s truly magical to see how these schools transform the lives of their staff, students, and families.
