This past week Hilltop celebrated our first SOAR Assembly. Students gather during the assembly to review our theme for the month (Respect) and introduce next month's theme, which is Responsibility. It is so fun to honor our fourth graders with leadership character awards, as well as, celebrate the classes awarding Golden Trophies!

The Minnesota Department of Education is proud to announce that Hilltop Primary has been recognized as a PBIS Exemplar school! Hilltop has demonstrated exceptional leadership in improving school climate, engaging the community, and increasing student achievement.

PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is an evidence-based framework for preventing problem behavior, providing instruction and support for positive and prosocial behaviors, and supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of all students. This year’s honorees exemplify the dedication and perseverance required to implement and sustain PBIS over time.
