A short exerpt of one of Byron's lessons with student Derek Keiser

This is a video clip of Wyatt Dunham doing his first performance at the Glen Lake Elementary Festival. Wyatt is in 3rd grade, age 9. He started lessons as a beginner only 7 months ago. He has completed all the first position material in that short time and can read music very well. He has learned 3 popular songs so far and his learning is accelerating because he practices regularly. Much credit goes to his parents for teaching him to do things in the real world rather than being "babysat" by electronic devices. We're all very proud of Wyatt for his accomplishments. It takes a lot of intestinal fortitude for a 9 year old to get up on that stage all by himself, keep his cool and perform! Wyatt says he wants to play at the festival again next year.
