The countdown is ON to the best days of the year! The Scholastic Book Fair is back this fall at Groveland! Students will visit with their classes Sept. 23-25, and you can visit as a family on Wednesday from 3:30 to 6 p.m. and Thursday from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. (stop by when you’re at the Fall Festival!)

Every book you buy makes a difference! Not only does the Fair give kids the joy of choosing their own stories, but all proceeds go directly back to our teachers and the Media Center. This allows Groveland to continuously update our libraries with fresh materials, directly supporting the district’s focus on student literacy improvement!

The Stock Market Game is an acclaimed national program that introduces students to the fundamentals of economics, investing, and personal finance. The primary object of the game is to work in teams to maximize the value of a hypothetical $100,000 investment portfolio using a live-updating market simulation. To achieve this, students must research real-world companies and strategically buy or sell actual stocks. In the recent Spring 2026 Minnesota competition, a 4th grade team of Groveland students, Owen Stadlham, Zack Malk, and Yossi Kats, put these advanced concepts into practice within the grades 4-8 division. Ultimately, their hard work paid off with an impressive 4th place finish statewide.

Once again, the Groveland community answered the call!

As part of our Earth Day celebration, we collected sneakers through our GotSneakers fundraiser; helping keep shoes out of landfills while also raising money for Groveland in the process.

Together, we collected an amazing 438 pairs of sneakers!

Thank you to Monica Hansen and the Groveland 5th Grade Green Team for leading this effort and helping make a positive impact on our community and the planet.
