The Stock Market Game is an acclaimed national program that introduces students to the fundamentals of economics, investing, and personal finance. The primary object of the game is to work in teams to maximize the value of a hypothetical $100,000 investment portfolio using a live-updating market simulation. To achieve this, students must research real-world companies and strategically buy or sell actual stocks. In the recent Spring 2026 Minnesota competition, a 4th grade team of Groveland students, Owen Stadlham, Zack Malk, and Yossi Kats, put these advanced concepts into practice within the grades 4-8 division. Ultimately, their hard work paid off with an impressive 4th place finish statewide.

Once again, the Groveland community answered the call!

As part of our Earth Day celebration, we collected sneakers through our GotSneakers fundraiser; helping keep shoes out of landfills while also raising money for Groveland in the process.

Together, we collected an amazing 438 pairs of sneakers!

Thank you to Monica Hansen and the Groveland 5th Grade Green Team for leading this effort and helping make a positive impact on our community and the planet.

💙 Groveland Community DELIVERED 💙

The ICA Food Shelf drive has officially wrapped up, and wow—what an incredible show of generosity from our Groveland families.

Because of you, parents at Groveland Elementary were able to donate more than 2,969 pounds of food and essential items to the ICA Food Shelf!

From food and personal care items to household and pet supplies, the impact is huge—and the numbers speak for themselves (check out the infographic below!).
