Eagle Ridge Academy has once again been named one of the best high schools in the state by earning the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools Medal and Charter Medal! 🏅 This year marks the fourteenth year in a row U.S. News & World Report has honored Eagle Ridge Academy.

The 2026 report ranked Eagle Ridge Academy as the tenth best high school out of 1,156 schools in Minnesota, and sixth best charter school out of 101 charter schools in Minnesota.

U.S. News & World Report determines their school rankings using six indicators of school success—college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rates. Using this methodology, schools earned an overall percentile score between 0 and 100 at two decimal places. Eagle Ridge Academy's overall score this year was 97.33/100. ⭐

👋 It's ! This week, we're introducing you to Kalli Schmidt, who will be joining us this month as a Classical Enrichment Specialist. Mrs. Schmidt earned her Bachelors in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls and has spent the past 5 years teaching at Agamim Classical Academy.

"After working for another Classical charter school, I absolutely fell in love with the Classical Teaching Model! Everything I have learned and seen about Eagle Ridge has been so positive and inspiring, and I cannot wait to be able to be a part of this amazing community," shared Mrs. Schmidt.

When she's not at school, you can find her spending time with her husband and cat Thor (fun fact - Thor is a girl!), or preparing for the arrival of her first baby (also a girl!). She also loves taking trips to baseball stadiums, teaching recreational and competitive dance, and reading. We are excited for Mrs. Schmidt to join the Eagle Ridge Academy community! 🎉

Let's do it all again tomorrow! Grades K-4 at Eagle Ridge Academy of Minnetonka and grades K-2 at Eagle Ridge Academy of Brooklyn Center may collect their back-to-school folders, meet their teachers, and leave their school supplies in their classrooms Wednesday, August 19, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Please look up your child's teacher on Infinite Campus prior to arriving so you can head directly to their classroom. After logging in to the Parent Portal, choose "Schedule" in the left index and select your child to view their schedule.

We welcomed faculty and staff back from summer break today! 🏫 They enjoyed catching up over a breakfast prepared by Chef Meak, attended a District Meeting with speeches from CEO Jason Ulbrich and School of Logic Teacher/Board Member Sam Sundermeyer, listened to a panel moderated by Chief of Staff Susan Bloomgren, and were introduced to our new teacher and staff members from both Minnetonka AND Brooklyn Center by Instructional Coach Christine Kelash.

This year is extra special, as our first day of school will also be the start of a new era (literally a new ERA!) - the beginning of Eagle Ridge Academy of Brooklyn Center. 🌱 We can't wait to see our students and families and commence this monumental year of learning!

Grades 5-12 are invited to attend Meet Your Teacher Night tomorrow, August 18. Grades K-4 at Minnetonka and K-2 at Brooklyn Center are invited to attend Meet Your Teacher Night this Wednesday, August 19. Both nights will run 5:00-7:00 p.m.

At Eagle Ridge Academy, we follow the pursuit of Veritas, Probitas, and Pulchritudo, identifying in Latin the central tenets of our school: Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. 👋 It's ! This week, we're introducing you to Selena Mitchell, who is joining us this month as a Paraprofessional. Ms. Mitchell has two associate degrees in Liberal Arts and Elementary Education and is currently working towards her Bachelor's in Social Work from Grand Canyon University through their online program.

"What drew me to Eagle Ridge Academy was the opportunity to be part of a community that values education, student success, and supporting students as they grow. After spending the past 10 years working with children of all ages, I have seen how important it is to create a positive and supportive environment where students feel valued and encouraged." shared Ms. Mitchell.

When she's not at school, you can find her doing her own schoolwork, relaxing at home with her two cats Tuna Can and Chewbacca, or going on adventures with her boyfriend. We are excited for Ms. Mitchell to join the Eagle Ridge Academy community! 🎉

This morning, we welcomed our new teachers and staff members from both Eagle Ridge Academy of Minnetonka and Eagle Ridge Academy of Brooklyn Center into the building for their first day of training! They enjoyed breakfast, a tour of the school, an introduction to Classical education, a presentation on our Pillars, and more. Learning will continue (at both campuses!) throughout the week. We are so excited to have them join us and for the whole community to meet them in just two weeks!
