Classical Christian Pk-12 school in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Agape Christi Academy is a classical and Christian school.

This means our educational model firmly embraces classical teaching methods and content, and delivers these within the framework of a solidly biblical worldview. The classical Christian approach prepares the entire student — heart, soul, mind, and strength — to love their neighbors and defend the faith with consistency and integrity in all areas of life. This preparation will help graduates hear and follow God’s calling in their lives.

"He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze." Psalm 18:34 So David praised when God delivered him from the hand of Saul. May our children be strengthened and trained for the war of ideas, exposing the shortcomings of all rival worldviews, offering compelling reasons for the hope they have in the Lord.

Three Agape Christi students and one alumnus performed in the Honor Choir at the recent ACCS Repairing the Ruins Conference. Under the direction of Dr. David Erb, singers spent a full week preparing pieces by Fryxell, Handel, and Vivaldi for conference attendees. In addition to choir rehearsals, singers were challenged with an advertising jingle contest, enjoyed multiple folk dancing sessions, and listened to Biblical teaching on "Glory" from Douglas Wilson, George Grant, and Christopher Schlect. A love of soul-lifting music and wholesome dancing builds resilient young people.

Protocol describes the etiquette training given to young men and women followed by a special event to put the training into practice. It is not "Prom" in the sense of the contemporary tradition characterized by self-gratification. Instead, Protocol is intentional training in Christian charity to encourage honor and deference to one another. This year's event included dinner at Wildfire Restaurant and a ball with live musicians. Protocol is a beautiful way to end the year with grace and gratitude.

Our aim at Agape Christi is to train up young men and women to calibrate their affections and thinking according to the Word of God, prepared to give reasons for the hope they have. As hope is a rare trait in our troubled times, training in Christian rhetoric is needed more than ever. Under the direction of Mr. John Choi, sophomore and juniors presented their essays on God's existence and approaches to apologetics.

As part of their American history and government studies, the start of the spring trimester for the 9/10 class was spent amid the cherry blossoms in Washington, D.C. Students toured iconic places such as the White House, the Capitol, Old Town Alexandria, and several museums. A highlight for the group was seeing President Trump pass by in his motorcade. Sophomore Hadassah Nixon wrote in a student newsletter, "One student said that she particularly enjoyed Arlington Cemetery because it bore witness to America’s values. Thousands of men have fought and died so that we could experience peace. Some, as the inscription on the tomb [of the unknown soldier] says were 'known only to God.' We may not know their names, but we ought to honor their sacrifices. We should live like others have died for us and more than that, like our Lord died for us."

Eighth-grader Liv Breitbarth earned a first-place finish in the 1600m at the Minnesota State High School League Section 4A State Qualifying Meet, finishing first out of 26 runners with a time of 5:23.96. She also earned a second-place finish in the 3200m with a time of 11:57.11, qualifying for State in both events.

While we highlight Liv's accomplishment, she would be the first to say she is part of a team. We are proud of every athlete who made tremendous strides this season under Coach Emmett's leadership. The fruit of a classical Christian education extends far beyond the classroom and even into the extracurricular opportunities that help cultivate growth, discipline, perseverance, and grit.
