After a quiet few months, RAD is BACK!

This August and September, we're hitting the court with single classes and short courses for both the new and experienced action actor.

8/15 - An advanced student-only Rapier and Dagger class based on escrima's espada y daga.

8/16 - A Skills Proficiency Renewal session for actors combatants with the Society of American Fight Directors.

8/22 to 8/30 - a four-class introduction to spear and staff.

9/19 to 9/20 - a two-class primer on unarmed martial arts techniques common to southeast asian styles like kali and jeet kune do.

8/23 and 9/19 - Single classes focused on the physical and mental attributes necessary for excellent film fighting and stunts.

8/22 and 9/20 - Open gyms! Come drill, figure out some choreography, and meet the action community.

Here are the film and stage combat classes for April and May, by Rogue Action Dynamics!

Our Foundations classes, open to newcomers and veterans alike, are $30 each or $80 for all four.
Anything is a Weapon: 4/18, 3-5p
Speak Softly, Carry Big Sticks: 4/25, 3-5p
Dirty Tricks on the High Seas: 5/3, 1-3p
The Bourne Battalion: 5/10, 1-3p

We will also be conducting Skills Proficiency Renewals for the Society of American Fight Directors, the largest stage combat organization in the USA, for up to three different weapons certification tests. They will be on May 3rd, 10th, and 22nd, and pre-registration is necessary to ensure weapons and partner availability.

And for those who just want to meet others and work on your own goals, we have two open gyms at whatever price you'd like to pay (suggested $10)

Location: our April classes will be at Springhouse Ministry, and our May classes be at the Minnesota Kali Group.

Fighting for the Shot
While stage combat and film combat have common ground, the relationship to audiences is fundamentally different. Through high-energy unarmed striking and blocking, we’ll dig into hitting our marks and staying in frame for committed and consistent stunt fighting.

Shoot for the Fight”
You have amazing fight choreography but if shot terribly then the entire fight looks bad. In this part two class we will look at ways to film an amazing fight scene.
