The U.S. Census Bureau has released its report on the 2027 NAICS revision, including its response to NAPO's proposal for a dedicated industry classification for our profession.

While a new NAICS code was not approved, the committee did recommend adding new index entries under NAICS 812990 – All Other Personal Services for professional organizer and personal organizer services.

The recommendation does not yet include several specialties, including productivity consultants and move managers.
